Volunteer Policy

The Uptown is run entirely by volunteers, who receive free admission to our shows but are otherwise unpaid. If you are interested in volunteering, you are welcome to apply to join our staff. Please submit your name, address, phone number and/or email address in writing to the attention of the Volunteer Coordinator. Please include a short description of the area where you would most like to help out.

The Volunteer Coordinator assigns duties to volunteers as needed. Specific tasks are assigned prior to the date of a show, so if we need your help, we will notify you in advance. In general most of the duties are delegated at the beginning of the season, but you are welcome to submit an application to join our volunteer staff at any time.
